# 多维数据集数据源

多维数据集（多维）数据源的某些特征使其在 Tableau 中独一无二。

多维数据集数据源不支持直通连接。这意味着在发布多维数据集数据源后，您不能使用该数据源从 Tableau Server 建立连接。这还意味着您不能在 Tableau Server 中使用该数据源创建工作簿。

通过将多维数据集数据源发布到 Tableau Server，您可以将该数据源存储在服务器上。但是，要使用该数据源，您必须将其下载到 Tableau Desktop 并在本地使用它。要下载已发布的数据源，您需要：

- 该数据源的“下载/另存为”权限。有关详细信息，请参见[权限](https://help.tableau.com/v0.0/server/zh-cn/permissions.htm#permissioncapabilities)。
- 运行 Tableau Desktop 的计算机上安装了正确的驱动程序并打开了相应端口。
