# HTTP 401 - Not Authorized

If you receive a **401- Not Authorized error**, it could be for one of the following reasons:

- You may have configured Tableau Server to use Active Directory with SSPI. If your web server uses SSPI, you do not need to set up trusted authentication. You can embed views and your users will have access to them as long as they are licensed Tableau server users and members of your Active Directory. For more information, see [tsm authentication sspi <commands>](https://help.tableau.com/v0.0/server-linux/en-us/cli_authentication_tsm.htm#TSMSspi).

**Note:** SSPI can only be configured on Tableau Server for Windows.
- Or a **302- Redirect error** after you have deployed Tableau Server, then it's likely the trusted ticket code you have written to construct the URL for the client has not been updated to account for the two-part ticket URL format. For more information, see [Get a Ticket from Tableau Server](https://help.tableau.com/v0.0/server-linux/en-us/trusted_auth_webrequ.htm).
