# Step 0: Pre-configuration Checklist

**About this step:** Planning ahead will simplify the setup processes later on.

## Before you begin:

1. Confirm your Salesforce Edition supports Tableau Next.
    
    - Must be: Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited

2. Determine who needs access to Tableau Next.
3. Purchase appropriate licences for your Tableau Next users (Admins, Analysts and Business Users).
