# 模擬的工作原理

下圖說明瞭資料庫使用者模擬的工作原理：

在上圖中，Jane Smith (MyCo\\jsmith) 是一名西海岸地區銷售代表，Henry Wilson (MyCo\\hwilson) 是東部地區銷售代表。在 SQL Server 資料庫中，Jane 的帳戶 MyCo\\jsmith 的帳戶權限僅允許她存取西海岸地區的資料。Henry 的帳戶 MyCo\\hwilson 只能存取東海岸地區的資料。

已建立了一個顯示全國資料的檢視。該檢視具有 SQL Server 資料庫即時連線。這兩個使用者都登入到 Tableau Server 中並按一下該檢視。Tableau Server 使用一個對於每個使用者的資料庫帳戶都具有 IMPERSONATE 權限的資料庫帳戶連線到 SQL Server。此帳戶代表每個使用者的資料庫帳戶進行操作。

當該檢視顯示時，它受每個使用者的各資料庫權限的限制：Jane 只能檢視西海岸地區的銷售資料，Henry 只能檢視東海岸地區的銷售資料。
