# APIkit for gRPC 1.0.0 Release Notes

APIkit for gRPC supports scaffolding Mule projects with the gRPC spec in Anypoint Code Builder. With this support, you can use gRPC protocols and design gRPC-based APIs.

## [](#march-16-2026)March 16, 2026

## What’s New

- APIkit for gRPC now supports the gRPC protocol.

Design and implement gRPC APIs in Anypoint Code Builder with the first release of APIkit for gRPC. This initial version provides a contract-first development experience for Protobuf 3, including API scaffolding to automatically generate routing logic and implementation flows for all four gRPC communication patterns. See [apikit::apikit-for-grpc.adoc](#apikit::apikit-for-grpc.adoc).
