# Configure XULRunner as Anypoint Studio Default Layout Engine (Linux)

> For the full documentation index, see: https://docs.mulesoft.com/llms.txt

Set XULRunner as the default layout engine for Anypoint Studio on Linux by pointing the Studio
configuration file to your XULRunner binaries.

1.  Download `XULRunner` (we recommend
    [v24.0](http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/xulrunner/releases/24.0/runtimes/)).

2. Unzip your package and install it.

3. Go to `/usr/lib/anypointstudio/` and open your `AnypointStudio.ini` file.

4. Add a `-Dorg.eclipse.swt.browser.XULRunnerPath=` variable with the full path to your XULRunner
    binaries:

    \-Dorg.eclipse.swt.browser.XULRunnerPath={YourXULRunnerFolder}

    > [!TIP] XULRunner binaries are located in the folder where you extracted the XULRunner package.
