# Read Text from App Element

The _Read Text From App Element_ action step lets you read the text from a selected App Element. The
extracted text is then available for further processing as an outbound variable.

The _Read Text from App Element_ action step does not have any special properties.

- **Read Text**

  Outputs the text that was read by the action step.

- **Has Content**

  Indicates whether the extracted text has content (`true`) or is blank (`false`).
