# Set Text to App Element

The _Set Text To App Element_ Action Step can be used to set text directly to a selected App
Element.

## Properties

- **Input String (Input Text)**

  The text to write to the selected element. You can use _Insert environment variable_ and _Insert
  script variable_ to swap in other values for the text at runtime.

## Inbound Variables

- **XPath to Element**

- **Window Title**

- **Input Text**

## Outbound Variables

The _Set Text to App Element_ Action Step does not have any outbound variables.
