# Read Text from App Element

The _Read Text From App Element_ Action Step lets you read the text from a selected App Element. The
extracted text is then available for further processing as an outbound variable.

  Outputs the text that was read by the Action Step.

- **Has Content**

  Indicates whether the extracted text has content (`true`) or is blank (`false`).
