# Mule Maven Plugin 4.0.0 Release Notes

The Mule Maven plugin enables you to integrate the packaging and deployment of your Mule
applications with your Maven lifecycle.

Mule Maven Plugin 4.0.0 implements all security updates and bug fixes from 3.8.7.

## What’s New

- Reported security vulnerabilities are now fixed.

- This release drops support to Maven 3.8 and adopts Maven 3.9. If you are using a Mule Maven plugin
  version 3.8.x or earlier, ensure you upgrade your projects to use the plugin’s latest version.

- Microsoft Windows 10

- Apple Mac OS X 10.15.0+

- Linux (tested on Ubuntu 15)

- Java 8

- Maven 3.9.0 to 3.9.8
