### What’s New

- Spring Module now supports Spring Framework 7 and Spring Security 7 through the new
  [`spring:v7-config`](https://docs.mulesoft.com/spring-module/latest/spring-module-reference#v7-config) global element.
  For the required library setup steps, see
  [Set Up Spring 7 Libraries in the pom.xml File](https://docs.mulesoft.com/spring-module/latest/spring-xml-maven#spring7-libraries).

  - `spring:v7-config` requires Spring Framework 7.0.9 and Spring Security 7.1.1. If a different
    Spring major version is loaded, the configuration fails at startup with a descriptive error.

  - The `spring-security-access` library is an optional dependency of `spring:v7-config`. Spring
    Security 7 moved the legacy access API classes into this library, so add it only if your
    application uses those classes. To determine whether your application is affected, see
    [Access API moves to spring-security-access](https://spring.io/blog/2025/09/09/access-api-moves-to-spring-security-access).

- The [`spring:config`](https://docs.mulesoft.com/spring-module/latest/spring-module-reference#config) global element,
  which uses Spring Framework 6.2.19 and Spring Security 6.5.11, is deprecated.

- A Mule application can’t use configurations of two different Spring Framework major versions at
  the same time. If an application defines both `spring:config` and `spring:v7-config`, validation
  fails.

### What’s New

- Spring Module (and its dependencies) are now compilable and compatible only with Java 17.

- To align with modern development practices and ensure continued compatibility with secure and
  supported libraries, Spring Module is upgraded from Spring 5.x to Spring 6.x.

- The structure of the `spring:security-manager` element is updated to resolve validation issues
  with the DSL. Previously, `delegate-security-providers` could be defined directly within
  `spring:security-manager`. Now, all `spring:delegate-security-provider` elements must be wrapped
  within a new `spring:delegate-security-providers` element.

  - Old structure (no longer supported):

    ```xml
    <spring:security-manager doc:name="Spring Security Manager">
       <spring:delegate-security-provider name="memory-provider" delegate-ref="authenticationManager" />
    </spring:security-manager>
    ```

  - New structure (required):

    ```xml
