# Amazon RDS Connector Release Notes

Anypoint Connector for Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS Connector) makes it easy to
set up, operate, and scale a relational database in the cloud. The Amazon RDS Connector provides
connectivity to the Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS) API, enabling you to interface
with Amazon RDS to provide cost-efficient and resizable capacity while automating time-consuming
administration tasks such as hardware provisioning, database setup, patching, and backups.

Starting with v.1.0.0, the RDS connector is licensed commercially with Anypoint Platform as with
other Select connectors.
