# Amazon Bedrock Connector Release Notes

> For the full documentation index, see: https://docs.mulesoft.com/llms.txt

Anypoint Connector for Amazon Bedrock (Amazon Bedrock Connector) provides seamless access to Amazon
Bedrock, a fully managed service offering high-performing foundation models (FMs) from leading AI
providers. The connector enables customers to invoke, evaluate, and integrate Bedrock models and
operations within Mule flows, supporting use cases such as prompt-based inference,
Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and agent-driven, multi-step workflows over enterprise data.
While each model provider exposes different APIs and capabilities, the connector abstracts these
differences and offers a unified, consistent interface to interact with all supported Bedrock models
through MuleSoft.

Guide: [Amazon Bedrock Connector User Guide](https://docs.mulesoft.com/amazon-bedrock-connector/latest/)

## 1.1.0

**September 4, 2026**

### What’s New

- Amazon Bedrock Connector now supports Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, so you can build agentic AI
applications with persistent memory and secure runtime invocation.

  For more information, see
  [Configuring AgentCore Operations](https://docs.mulesoft.com/amazon-bedrock-connector/latest/configuring-agentcore-operations).

- You can now create, update, delete, retrieve, and list records in an AgentCore Memory resource by
  using the new
[AgentCore - Batch Create Memory Records](https://docs.mulesoft.com/amazon-bedrock-connector/latest/amazon-bedrock-connector-reference#AgentcoreBatchCreateMemoryRecords),
[AgentCore - Batch Update Memory Records](https://docs.mulesoft.com/amazon-bedrock-connector/latest/amazon-bedrock-connector-reference#AgentcoreBatchUpdateMemoryRecords),
[AgentCore - Batch Delete Memory Records](https://docs.mulesoft.com/amazon-bedrock-connector/latest/amazon-bedrock-connector-reference#AgentcoreBatchDeleteMemoryRecords),
  [AgentCore - Get Memory Record](https://docs.mulesoft.com/amazon-bedrock-connector/latest/amazon-bedrock-connector-reference#AgentcoreGetMemoryRecord),
  [AgentCore - List Memory Records](https://docs.mulesoft.com/amazon-bedrock-connector/latest/amazon-bedrock-connector-reference#AgentcoreListMemoryRecords),
  and
  [AgentCore - Retrieve Memory Records](https://docs.mulesoft.com/amazon-bedrock-connector/latest/amazon-bedrock-connector-reference#AgentcoreRetrieveMemoryRecords)
  operations.

- You can now invoke a deployed AgentCore agent runtime and manage its sessions and credentials by
  using the new
[AgentCore - Invoke Agent Runtime (Streaming)](https://docs.mulesoft.com/amazon-bedrock-connector/latest/amazon-bedrock-connector-reference#AgentcoreInvokeAgentRuntime),
[AgentCore - Invoke Agent Runtime As Bytes (Non Streaming)](https://docs.mulesoft.com/amazon-bedrock-connector/latest/amazon-bedrock-connector-reference#AgentcoreInvokeAgentRuntimeAsBytes),
  [AgentCore - Stop Runtime Session](https://docs.mulesoft.com/amazon-bedrock-connector/latest/amazon-bedrock-connector-reference#AgentcoreStopRuntimeSession),
[AgentCore - Get Workload Access Token](https://docs.mulesoft.com/amazon-bedrock-connector/latest/amazon-bedrock-connector-reference#AgentcoreGetWorkloadAccessToken),
  and
[AgentCore - Get Resource API Key](https://docs.mulesoft.com/amazon-bedrock-connector/latest/amazon-bedrock-connector-reference#AgentcoreGetResourceApiKey)
  operations.

- The
  [CHAT Answer Prompt Streaming](https://docs.mulesoft.com/amazon-bedrock-connector/latest/amazon-bedrock-connector-reference#ChatAnswerPromptStreaming)
operation now supports the **Model Arn** field and
  [Attachments](https://docs.mulesoft.com/amazon-bedrock-connector/latest/amazon-bedrock-connector-reference#ConverseAttachment).
You can include images or documents with the text prompt. You can also supply a base-model,
inference-profile, or application-inference-profile ARN in **Model Arn** instead of **Model
  Name**.

  For more information, see
  [Configuring Chat Operations](https://docs.mulesoft.com/amazon-bedrock-connector/latest/configuring-chat-operations).

- The
  [AGENT Chat](https://docs.mulesoft.com/amazon-bedrock-connector/latest/amazon-bedrock-connector-reference#AgentChat)
  and
  [AGENT Chat Streaming (SSE)](https://docs.mulesoft.com/amazon-bedrock-connector/latest/amazon-bedrock-connector-reference#AgentChatStreamingSse)
operations now support the **Session Attributes** and **Prompt Session Attributes** fields. Use
**Session Attributes** to pass key-value context that persists across the entire agent session.
Use **Prompt Session Attributes** to pass key-value context that applies only to the current
  prompt and turn.

  For more information, see
  [Configuring Agent Operations](https://docs.mulesoft.com/amazon-bedrock-connector/latest/configuring-agent-operations).

- The
  [EMBEDDING Adhoc Query](https://docs.mulesoft.com/amazon-bedrock-connector/latest/amazon-bedrock-connector-reference#EmbeddingAdhocQuery)
operation now supports base64-encoded document content in the **Document Bytes** field. The **File
Path** field is now optional. When both fields are set, **Document Bytes** takes precedence.

  For more information, see
  [Configuring Embedding Operations](https://docs.mulesoft.com/amazon-bedrock-connector/latest/configuring-embedding-operations).

- The **Region** field is removed from the **AGENT Define Prompt Template**, **CHAT Answer Prompt**,
**CHAT Answer Prompt Streaming**, and **SENTIMENT Analyze** operations. Configure the AWS region
by using the connection-level **Region Endpoint** field instead.

- The **Request Timeout Unit** field in the **AGENT Chat** and **AGENT Chat Streaming (SSE)**
  operations now also supports `NANOSECONDS`, `MICROSECONDS`, `HOURS`, and `DAYS`.

## 1.0.2

**May 5, 2026**

### What’s New

- The **Model Name** field now supports all Claude 4 models, including `Claude 4 Opus`,
  `Claude 4 Sonnet`, `Claude 4 Haiku`, and `Claude Opus 4.7`.

- The connector automatically routes requests through the inference-profile ARN path for all Claude
4 models. It resolves and applies the necessary geographical prefixes (us., eu., apac., jp., au.,
and global.) to ensure compatible cross-region communication.

- The connector now automatically adjusts request payloads based on model requirements and filters
restricted parameters for Claude Opus 4.7.

- The connector now handles extended-thinking content blocks from Claude 4 models. It automatically
skips these internal blocks to return the final answer text to your Mule application.
