# Anypoint Platform Command-Line Interface 4.x Release Notes

> For the full documentation index, see: https://docs.mulesoft.com/llms.txt

## 1.6.28

**October 13, 2026**

### What’s New

- `api-mgr upstream list` now returns upstream objects in JSON format when using `--output json`.

- Basic endpoint creation with `--type raml` now preserves the endpoint type as RAML. RAML is still
mapped to `rest-api` when creating an API with `--withProxy`.

## 1.6.27

**August 24, 2026**

### Fixed Issues

<table><colgroup><col> <col></colgroup><thead><tr><th>Issue Resolution</th><th>ID</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><div><div><p>The DX Mule plugin dependency is upgraded to address several reported security vulnerabilities in bundled Java JARs and npm dependencies.</p></div></div></td><td><div><div><p>W-23852828</p></div></div></td></tr></tbody></table>

## 1.6.26

**July 29, 2026**

### What’s New

- The `dx:mule:describe-connector` command now supports describing private and custom connectors
published to your organization’s Anypoint Exchange. Connected App credentials configured via
`anypoint-cli-v4 conf` are automatically used to authenticate with Exchange when resolving the
  connector artifact.

- You can now download a JDK using the new `dx:mule:jdk:download` command, which automatically
detects your OS and architecture and downloads the latest version by default.

### Fixed Issues

<table><colgroup><col> <col></colgroup><thead><tr><th>Issue Resolution</th><th>ID</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><div><div><p>The Governance plugin is upgraded to address a reported security vulnerability.</p></div></div></td><td><div><div><p>W-23086228</p></div></div></td></tr><tr><td><div><div><p>The <code>minimatch</code> dependency in the Design Center plugin is upgraded to address a reported security vulnerability.</p></div></div></td><td><div><div><p>W-21680716</p></div></div></td></tr></tbody></table>

## 1.6.25

**July 8, 2026**

### What’s New

- New `governance:ruleset` commands are added to author governance rulesets locally, without a
network connection or APB dependency. For more information, see the
  [API Governance Command Documentation](https://docs.mulesoft.com/anypoint-cli/latest/api-governance).

- The `amf` metadata domain is renamed to `api-spec` in the ruleset authoring commands. If you used
  `--domain amf` to filter classes, use `--domain api-spec` instead.

- The `api-instance` metadata domain is removed from ruleset authoring. This domain and its related
types are no longer targetable when authoring rulesets.

## 1.6.23

**June 24, 2026**

### What’s New

- You can now create Mule projects from Anypoint Exchange templates or local template files using
  the new `dx:mule:project:create` command flags:

  - `--template-asset <groupId:assetId:version>` — Creates a project from an Anypoint Exchange
    template.

  - `--template-file <path>` — Creates a project from a local `.jar` or `.zip` template file.

  - `--asset-type template|example` — Specifies the Maven classifier when downloading from Exchange.

  - `--skip-environment` — Bypasses environment resolution for local template flows that don’t
    require an Anypoint API call.

- Consumers of the `anypoint-cli-core-library` can now customize the `User-Agent` header value sent
in HTTP requests. If no custom value is provided, the default `Anypoint-CLI/<version>` is used to
  ensure backward compatibility.

- The Anypoint CLI Exchange plugin npm package has been renamed to
  `mulesoft-anypoint-cli-exchange-plugin`.

If you’re using the former package name (`anypoint-cli-exchange-plugin`), update your
`package.json` to use the new package name. The old package name no longer receives updates.

### Fixed Issues

<table><colgroup><col> <col></colgroup><thead><tr><th>Issue Resolution</th><th>ID</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><div><div><p>The 200 MB upload limit in <code>anypoint-cli-core-library</code> that caused <code>ERR_FR_MAX_BODY_LENGTH_EXCEEDED</code> errors when uploading assets larger than 200 MB is increased.</p></div></div></td><td><div><div><p>W-23086435</p></div></div></td></tr></tbody></table>

## 1.6.22

**June 4, 2026**

### Fixed Issues

<table><colgroup><col> <col></colgroup><thead><tr><th>Issue Resolution</th><th>ID</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><div><div><p>The <code>minimatch</code> transitive dependency is upgraded to address reported security vulnerabilities.</p></div></div></td><td><div><div><p>W-22309904</p></div></div></td></tr><tr><td><div><div><p>The DX Mule plugin dependency is upgraded to address a reported security vulnerability.</p></div></div></td><td><div><div><p>W-22587408</p></div></div></td></tr></tbody></table>

## 1.6.21

**May 19, 2026**

### What’s New

- The DX Mule plugin is added to manage Mule runtimes, scaffold Mule projects, and introspect
connector metadata from the command line. For more information, see the
  [CLI for DX Mule Plugin](https://docs.mulesoft.com/anypoint-cli/latest/dx-mule).

**May 6, 2026**

### What’s New

- The Anypoint CLI Governance plugin 1.0.19. npm package name is now
  `mulesoft-anypoint-cli-governance-plugin`.

If you’re using the former package name (`anypoint-cli-governance-plugin`), update your
`package.json` to use the new package name. The old package name no longer receives updates. See
[Migrate to the New Governance Plugin Package Name](https://docs.mulesoft.com/anypoint-cli/latest/install#migrate-governance-plugin).

- Validation reports now include source information by default with accurate file, line, and column
  locations for each governance violation.

### What’s New

- The Anypoint CLI Agent Fabric plugin npm package has been renamed to
  `mulesoft-anypoint-cli-agent-fabric-plugin`.

If you previously installed the plugin using the former package name, installing the new package
results in an `npm error EEXIST: file already exists` error because both packages share the same
  command alias.

To resolve this issue, reinstall the plugin using the `--force` flag to overwrite the existing
  alias: `npm i mulesoft-anypoint-cli-agent-fabric-plugin --force`

Mulesoft announces the release of Anypoint CLI 4.x.

Anypoint Platform CLI is a scripting and command-line tool for Anypoint Platform and Anypoint
Platform Private Cloud Edition (Anypoint Platform PCE).

### What’s New

- New standardized CLI framework: OCLIF, aligned with all Salesforce products.

- New support for API Catalog.

- Individual plug-ins per each topic. This new architecture extends CLI functionality by delivering
new plug-ins, and by fixing and updating each plug-in separately without updating the whole suite
  of CLI.

- Node JS v16+ is required.

To see how version 4.x differs from previous versions, see the
[Anypoint CLI 4.x documentation](https://docs.mulesoft.com/anypoint-cli/latest/diff-earlier-ver).

> [!NOTE] You can still download and use Anypoint CLI 3.x. The product will be available until it
> reaches its End Of Life, when extended support ends.
