# Configuring DNS on Anypoint Platform PCE

> For the full documentation index, see: https://docs.mulesoft.com/llms.txt

For Mule runtime engine (Mule) to communicate with Anypoint Platform, you must provide the DNS or IP
address where your Anypoint Platform Private Cloud Edition (Anypoint Platform PCE) installation is
exposed to the local network. To do so, follow these steps:

1. From Anypoint Platform, click **Access Management**.

2. Click **DNS/IP**.

3. In **Platform DNS/IP**, enter the address where you are hosting the platform.

4. Click **Save**.

> [!NOTE] If you perform a DNS update that changes the endpoints that Mule instances use to connect
> to Runtime Manager, you must restart the Mule instances before they can connect to the new
> endpoints.
