# Using Connectors for External Notifications and Custom Metrics

Anypoint Monitoring provides links to connectors on Anypoint Exchange that you can incorporate into
a Mule app to deliver alert notifications to external systems and to receive custom metric values in
Anypoint Monitoring dashboards.

1.  Log in to Anypoint Platform with a user account that has
    [permission to access Anypoint Monitoring content](https://docs.mulesoft.com/monitoring/am-permissions).

2.  Navigate to Anypoint Monitoring:

    Click **Monitoring** from the Anypoint Platform home page or from the **Runtimes** menu in the
    header.

3.  In the sidebar, click **Tools**.

4.  Review the connectors.

    You can hover over a connector link to learn more before navigating to Anypoint Exchange.
