# mulesoft Informatica Business 360 Connector - Full Documentation --- product: Informatica Business 360 Connector version: 1.0 is-latest-version: true --- # Informatica Business 360 Connector 1.0 > For the full documentation index, see: https://docs.mulesoft.com/llms.txt > [!NOTE] Where possible, we changed noninclusive terms to align with our company value of Equality. > We maintained certain terms to avoid any effect on customer implementations. Anypoint Connector for Informatica Business 360 (Informatica Business 360 Connector) enables Mule applications to integrate with the Informatica Business 360 (MDM) REST API. Use this connector to manage master data records, perform searches, run ML-based fuzzy matching, and discover business object metadata, all from within your Mule flows. For information about compatibility and fixed issues, refer to the Informatica Business 360 Connector Release Notes. ## Before You Begin To use this connector, you must be familiar with: - The Informatica Business 360 Connector’s API - Anypoint Connectors - Mule runtime engine (Mule) - Elements and global elements in a Mule flow - How to create a Mule app using Anypoint Code Builder or Anypoint Studio Before creating an app, you must have: - Credentials to access the Informatica Business 360 target resource - Anypoint Platform - The latest versions of Anypoint Code Builder or Anypoint Studio - Access to an Informatica Business 360 (MDM) environment with valid credentials - At least one business entity configured in your B360 tenant (for example, `c360.person`) ## Supported Authentication Methods This connector supports two Informatica API authentication versions:
MethodDescription

Basic Auth V3

Authenticates via the V3 login endpoint (/saas/public/core/v3/login) using JSON. Uses the IDS-SESSION-ID session header.

Basic Auth V2

Authenticates via the V2 login endpoint (/ma/api/v2/user/login) using JSON. Uses the icSessionId session header. Retained for environments that require the V2 endpoint.

## Key Capabilities - Entity CRUD Operations Create, read, update (full and partial via JSON patch), delete, and restore business entity records such as persons, organizations, and custom entity types. - Search with Automatic Pagination Perform full-text or field-based searches across entity records. The connector handles pagination transparently, fetching pages on demand as your flow iterates over results. - ML-Based Fuzzy Matching Find similar records using Informatica’s match engine. Search Match V1 matches against source records using blocking fields defined in the match model. - Metadata Discovery The connector dynamically retrieves available business entity types and source systems from the B360 tenant. Anypoint Studio and Anypoint Code Builder display dynamic dropdowns for object types and source systems. - Dynamic Input and Output Metadata The connector dynamically resolves input and output schemas at design time based on the selected business object type, providing field-level autocompletion in Anypoint Studio and Anypoint Code Builder. Dynamic input and output metadata for the operation is cached and is automatically refreshed once every 10 minutes. - Automatic Session Management The connector manages the session token lifecycle automatically, including proactive refresh before the 30-minute expiration window and transparent retry on 401 (Unauthorized) responses. - Error Handling Hierarchy Structured error types (`CLIENT_ERROR`, `SERVER_ERROR`, `CONNECTIVITY`) with specific subtypes (`NOT_FOUND`, `BAD_REQUEST`, `RATE_LIMITED`, etc.) enable precise error handling in your flows. - Debug Logging When the connector logger is set to `DEBUG` level, HTTP request and response details are logged automatically with sensitive data masked. No separate configuration is required. ## Connection Management The connector uses a cached connection model (`CachedConnectionProvider`), meaning a single connection is shared across all operations within a Mule app. The session token is proactively refreshed on a configurable interval (default: 25 minutes) to avoid mid-request expiration. If a request receives a 401 (Unauthorized) response, the connector automatically refreshes the session token and retries the request once before propagating the error. ## Next Step After you complete the prerequisites, you’re ready to create an app and configure the connector using [Anypoint Studio](https://docs.mulesoft.com/informatica-b360-connector/latest/informatica-b360-connector-studio) or [Anypoint Code Builder](https://docs.mulesoft.com/informatica-b360-connector/latest/informatica-b360-connector-acb). ## See Also - [Introduction to Anypoint Connectors](https://docs.mulesoft.com/connectors/introduction/introduction-to-anypoint-connectors) - [Use Exchange to Discover Connectors, Templates, and Examples](https://docs.mulesoft.com/connectors/introduction/intro-use-exchange) - [Informatica Business 360 Connector Reference](https://docs.mulesoft.com/informatica-b360-connector/latest/informatica-b360-connector-reference) - [Salesforce Help](https://help.salesforce.com) --- product: Informatica Business 360 Connector version: 1.0 is-latest-version: true --- # Informatica Business 360 Connector 1.0 Examples > For the full documentation index, see: https://docs.mulesoft.com/llms.txt This page provides examples for Informatica Business 360 Connector operations. --- product: Informatica Business 360 Connector version: 1.0 is-latest-version: true --- # Informatica Business 360 Connector 1.0 XML and Maven Support > For the full documentation index, see: https://docs.mulesoft.com/llms.txt Although you can manually code a Mule app in XML, it is more efficient to use Anypoint Code Builder or Studio: - If you manually code a Mule runtime engine (Mule) app in XML, either from the Anypoint Code Builder or Studio XML editor, or from a text editor, you can access the connector from your app by adding reference statements to both your XML Mule flow and the Apache Maven `pom.xml` file. - If you add the connector in Anypoint Code Builder or Studio, the XML is automatically populated the code with the connector’s namespace and schema location and it also adds a dependency to the `pom.xml` file. ## Add a Namespace for the Connector Paste the following code inside the `mule` tag of the header of your configuration XML: ```xml http://www.mulesoft.org/schema/mule/informatica b360 http://www.mulesoft.org/schema/mule/informatica b360/current/mule-informatica b360.xsd ``` This example shows how the namespace statements are placed in the `` XML block: ```xml ``` ## Add a POM File Dependency The Apache Maven `pom.xml` file generated by Anypoint Studio contains dependencies for a Mule app. If you code a Mule app manually, include this XML snippet in your `pom.xml` file to enable access to this connector: ```xml com.mulesoft.connectors mule4-informatica-b360-connector x.x.x mule-plugin ``` Replace `x.x.x` with the version that corresponds to the connector you are using. To obtain the most up-to-date `pom.xml` file information: 1. Go to [Anypoint Exchange](https://www.mulesoft.com/exchange/). 2. In Exchange, click **Login** and supply your Anypoint Platform username and password. 3. In Exchange, search for `informatica-b360`. 4. Select the connector. 5. Click **Dependency Snippets** near the upper right of the screen. ## See Also - [Introduction to Anypoint Connectors](https://docs.mulesoft.com/connectors/introduction/introduction-to-anypoint-connectors) - [Salesforce Help](https://help.salesforce.com) --- product: Informatica Business 360 Connector version: 1.0 is-latest-version: true --- # Using Anypoint Code Builder to Configure Informatica Business 360 Connector 1.0 > For the full documentation index, see: https://docs.mulesoft.com/llms.txt Cloud IDE (Beta) is scheduled for retirement on August 31, 2026. The connector dynamically retrieves available object types from your B360 tenant. - **Source System**: Select the source system from the dropdown (for example, `b360.default.system`). - **Business ID**: The unique business identifier of the record (required for read, update, partial update, delete, and restore operations). For **create-entity** and **update-entity**, the payload schema is dynamically resolved based on the selected object type. Anypoint Studio displays the available fields in the DataSense explorer. For **partial-update-entity**, the payload uses JSON patch format: ```json [{ "op": "replace", "path": "lastName", "value": "NewValue" }] ``` ### Configure Search Operations The **search** operation requires: - **Object Type**: The business entity type to search - **Query**: A JSON body containing the search criteria (`search` for full text or `fields` for field specific lookups) - **Page Size** (optional): Number of records per page (default: 50, max: 10,000) - **Record Offset** (optional): Number of records to skip before returning results (default: 0) - **Records To Return** (optional): Total number of records to return across all pages (default: -1, meaning all matching records) The connector handles pagination automatically. Results are returned as an iterator that fetches pages on demand. ### Enable Debug Logging To enable detailed request and response logging, add the following to your Mule app’s `log4j2.xml` configuration: ```xml ``` Debug logging captures HTTP method, URI, headers (with sensitive values masked), and body content (truncated at 2048 characters) for every API call. ## View the App Log To check for problems, you can view the app log as follows: - If you’re running the app from Anypoint Platform, the app log output is visible on the Anypoint Studio console window. - If you’re running the app using Mule from the command line, the app log output is visible in your operating system console. Unless the log file path is customized in the app’s log file (`log4j2.xml`), you can also view the app log in the default location `MULE_HOME/logs/.log`. You can configure the location of the log path in the app log file `log4j2.xml`. ## See Also - [Introduction to Anypoint Connectors](https://docs.mulesoft.com/connectors/introduction/introduction-to-anypoint-connectors) - [Using Studio to Configure a Connector](https://docs.mulesoft.com/connectors/introduction/intro-config-use-studio) - [Informatica Business 360 Connector Reference](https://docs.mulesoft.com/informatica-b360-connector/latest/informatica-b360-connector-reference) - [Salesforce Help](https://help.salesforce.com)
