# API Scanners

> For the full documentation index, see: https://docs.mulesoft.com/llms.txt

API scanners connect external API gateways to Anypoint Platform, enabling you to discover, import,
and sync APIs from external platforms directly into Anypoint Exchange. Once synced, you can enforce
governance policies across all connected gateways.

These are the supported API gateway scanners:

- [Amazon API Gateway](https://docs.mulesoft.com/exchange/adding-amazon-gateway-scanner)

- [Azure API Management](https://docs.mulesoft.com/exchange/adding-azure-api-management-scanner)

- [Google Apigee API Gateway](https://docs.mulesoft.com/exchange/adding-apigee-scanner)

- [Kong API Gateway](https://docs.mulesoft.com/exchange/adding-kong-gateway-scanner)

## Before You Begin Adding a Scanner

Make sure you have the permission and access:

- Exchange Administrator permission

- Verify that you are in the business group where you want to add the scanner.
