## upper(String): String

Returns the provided string in uppercase characters.

### Parameters

<table><colgroup><col> <col></colgroup><thead><tr><th>Name</th><th>Description</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><p><code>text</code></p></td><td><p>The string to convert to uppercase.</p></td></tr></tbody></table>

### Example

This example converts lowercase characters to uppercase.

## upper(Null): Null

Helper function that enables `upper` to work with a `null` value.
