# isDecimal

## isDecimal(number: Number): Boolean

Returns `true` if the given number contains a decimal, `false` if not.

### Parameters

<table><colgroup><col> <col></colgroup><thead><tr><th>Name</th><th>Description</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><p><code>number</code></p></td><td><p>The number to evaluate.</p></td></tr></tbody></table>

### Example

This example indicates whether a number has a decimal. Note that numbers within strings get coerced
to numbers.
