# Installing OData V4 Tooling

Install the APIkit for OData v4 Studio plugin to author CSDL metadata, scaffold OData v4 services,
and align tooling with your Mule runtime. Register the update site in Anypoint Studio, install the
OData extension, and restart to activate it.

1.  Select **Help** > **Install New Software** and then click **Add**.

2.  In **Name**, type `APIkit for ODATA v4 Update Site`.

3.  In **Location**, type the URL of the site:
    `https://repository.mulesoft.org/nexus/repository/studio-releases-orbit/org/mule/tooling/apikit-for-odata4/`.

4.  Click **Add**.

5.  Select **Anypoint ODATA Plugin** and then click **Next**.

6.  Accept the terms and conditions of the product and click **Finish**.

7.  Restart Studio to complete the installation.
