# APIkit for gRPC

> For the full documentation index, see: https://docs.mulesoft.com/llms.txt

Implement gRPC APIs in Mule projects with APIkit for gRPC by modeling services in Protocol Buffers
(`.proto` files) and extending the scaffolder output with your business logic. Google Remote
Procedure Call (gRPC) runs over HTTP/2 and supports unary calls plus server streaming, client
streaming, and bidirectional streaming for microservices and backend-to-backend traffic.

The APIkit scaffolder generates Mule project structure, routing, and a flow per `.proto` method from
published specifications. Import from Anypoint Exchange or scaffold a gRPC API project in Anypoint
Code Builder, and publish reusable Protobuf assets to Exchange when you share contracts across
teams.

> [!NOTE] APIkit for gRPC requires Mule runtime engine 4.11 or later to provide the necessary HTTP/2
> support. At this time, deployment is supported on Runtime Fabric and Hybrid Standalone (HSA)
> infrastructure.
