# Determining API Instance ID on API Manager

API Manager generates the `apiId` of new API instances managed by API Manager and displays the ID on
the API instance dashboard. The API Instace ID cannot be changed.

To find the API instance ID:

1.  Navigate to **Anypoint Platform** > **API Manager**.

2.  In **API Administration**, click the name of the API instance whose ID you want.

    The API instance ID is displayed under **API Instance ID**.
