# Delete API Group Instances

You might want to delete an API Group instance if it is no longer required based on your business
needs. If you want to delete the API Group itself, you must first delete all the associated API
Group instances, one by one.

## Task Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure that you have the API Group Administrator permissions to be able to delete
an API Groups instance.

To delete an API Group:

1.  Navigate to **Anypoint Platform** > **API Manager**.

2.  Click **API Groups**.

3.  Select the version of the API Group that you want to delete.

4.  Click **…​** > **Delete**.
