Event Monitoring logs are a source of truth but are not durable. Data loss can occur during Salesforce site switches, instance refreshes, or unplanned outages. For more information, see [Using Event Monitoring](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.264.0.api_rest.meta/api_rest/using_resources_event_log_files.htm "HTML (New Window)").
