# Appraisal

Represents the appraisal for one or more items. This object is available in API version 63.0 and later.

## Supported Calls

create(), delete(), describeLayout(), describeSObjects(), getDeleted(), getUpdated(), query(), retrieve(), search(), undelete(), update(), upsert()

## Special Access Rules

Automotive and Appraisal Management must be enabled.

## Fields

### AppraisedById

- **Type**: reference
- **Properties**: Create, Filter, Group, Nillable, Sort, Update
- **Description**: The contact or the user who performs an appraisal. This field is a polymorphic relationship field.
- **Relationship Name**: AppraisedBy
- **Refers To**: Contact, User

### Comment

- **Type**: textarea
- **Properties**: Create, Filter, Group, Nillable, Sort, Update
- **Description**: The dealer or customer provides a comment for the appraisal, such as instructions or context.

### Fee

- **Type**: currency
- **Properties**: Create, Filter, Nillable, Sort, Update
- **Description**: The fee for the appraisal.

### FinalAppraisalValue

- **Type**: currency
- **Properties**: Filter, Nillable, Sort
- **Description**: The final appraisal value that sums up the total item final value and the total adjustment value of an appraisal. This field is a calculated field.

### InitiatedById

- **Type**: reference
- **Properties**: Create, Filter, Group, Nillable, Sort, Update
- **Description**: The account, contact, or user who initiates an appraisal. This field is a polymorphic relationship field.
- **Relationship Name**: InitiatedBy
- **Refers To**: Account, Contact, User

### IsActive

- **Type**: boolean
- **Properties**: Create, Defaulted on create, Filter, Group, Sort, Update
- **Description**: Indicates whether the appraisal is active (true) or not (false). The default value is false.

### OwnerId

- **Type**: reference
- **Properties**: Create, Defaulted on create, Filter, Group, Sort, Update
- **Description**: The owner of the appraisal record. This field is a polymorphic relationship field.
- **Relationship Name**: Owner
- **Refers To**: Group, User

### PurposeType

- **Type**: picklist
- **Properties**: Create, Filter, Group, Restricted picklist, Sort, Update
- **Description**: Specifies the purpose of the appraisal, such as sales, trade-in, or valuation of an asset. Possible values are: Sale, or Trade-In.

### ReferenceRecordId

- **Type**: reference
- **Properties**: Create, Filter, Group, Sort, Update
- **Description**: The record of an object, such as lead, account, opportunity, or application form product that serves as the context for the appraisal. This field is a polymorphic relationship field.
- **Relationship Name**: ReferenceRecord
- **Refers To**: Account, Case, Lead, Opportunity

### Status

- **Type**: picklist
- **Properties**: Create, Filter, Group, Nillable, Sort, Update
- **Description**: Specifies the status of the appraisal.

### TotalAdjustmentValue

- **Type**: currency
- **Properties**: Filter, Nillable, Sort
- **Description**: The cumulative value based on all appraisal adjustments that refer to an appraisal. This field is a calculated field.

### TotalItemFinalValue

- **Type**: currency
- **Properties**: Filter, Nillable, Sort
- **Description**: The cumulative value based on all the final values of all items related to the appraisal. This field is a calculated field.

### UsageType

- **Type**: picklist
- **Properties**: Create, Filter, Group, Restricted picklist, Sort, Update
- **Description**: The usage type of the appraisal. Possible values are:

- Automotive

### ValidityEndDate

- **Type**: date
- **Properties**: Create, Filter, Group, Nillable, Sort, Update
- **Description**: The date until which the appraisal is valid.
