# Claim

Represents a warranty Claim submitted by a partner to a manufacturer, or a supplier recovery claim submitted by the manufacturer to a supplier. This object is available in API version 58.0 and later.

## Special Access Rules

Automotive and Warranty Lifecycle Management must be enabled.

## Fields

### AccountId

- **Type**: reference
- **Properties**: Create, Filter, Group, Nillable, Sort, Update
- **Description**: The ID of the account related to the claim. This field is a relationship field.
- **Relationship Name**: Account
- **Relationship Type**: Lookup
- **Refers To**: Account

### ClaimReason

- **Type**: string
- **Properties**: Create, Filter, Group, Nillable, Sort, Update
- **Description**: The reason for initiating the claim.

### ClaimReasonType

- **Type**: picklist
- **Properties**: Create, Filter, Group, Nillable, Sort, Update
- **Description**: The category to which the claim reason belongs. Possible values are: Accident, or Natural Disaster.

### ClaimType

- **Type**: picklist
- **Properties**: Create, Defaulted on create, Filter, Group, Nillable, Sort, Update
- **Description**: Specifies the type of the claim. Possible values are: The default value is Warranty Claim. Pre Warranty Authorization, or Warranty Claim.

### ClaimTypeCode

- **Type**: picklist
- **Properties**: Create, Filter, Group, Nillable, Restricted picklist, Sort, Update
- **Description**: Specifies the type code of the claim. Possible values are: The default value is Warranty Claim. PreWarrantyAuthorization, SupplierRecoveryClaim, or WarrantyClaim.

### FinalizedDate

- **Type**: dateTime
- **Properties**: Create, Filter, Nillable, Sort, Update
- **Description**: The date on which the claim was marked resolved, with claim status as approved or rejected.

### FnolChannel

- **Type**: picklist
- **Properties**: Create, Filter, Group, Nillable, Sort, Update
- **Description**: The channel through which the loss was reported. Possible values are: Chatbot, Mobile, Phone, or Web.

### IsClosed

- **Type**: boolean
- **Properties**: Defaulted on create, Filter, Group, Sort
- **Description**: Indicates whether the claim has been closed (true) or not (false). The default value is false.

### LastReferencedDate

- **Type**: dateTime
- **Properties**: Filter, Nillable, Sort
- **Description**: The timestamp for when the current user last viewed a record related to this record.

### LastViewedDate

- **Type**: dateTime
- **Properties**: Filter, Nillable, Sort
- **Description**: The timestamp for when the current user last viewed this record. If this value is null, it’s possible that this record was referenced (LastReferencedDate) and not viewed.

### Name

- **Type**: string
- **Properties**: Create, Filter, Group, idLookup, Sort, Update
- **Description**: The claim number in the claims management system.

### OwnerId

- **Type**: reference
- **Properties**: Create, Defaulted on create, Filter, Group, Sort, Update
- **Description**: ID of the record owner. This field is a polymorphic relationship field.
- **Relationship Name**: Owner
- **Relationship Type**: Lookup
- **Refers To**: Group, User

### RelatedClaimId

- **Type**: reference
- **Properties**: Create, Filter, Group, Nillable, Sort, Update
- **Description**: ID of the claim related to this claim. This field is a relationship field.
- **Relationship Name**: RelatedClaim
- **Relationship Type**: Lookup
- **Refers To**: Claim

### Severity

- **Type**: picklist
- **Properties**: Create, Filter, Group, Nillable, Sort, Update
- **Description**: The severity of the claim. Possible values are: High, Low, or Medium.

### Status

- **Type**: picklist
- **Properties**: Create, Defaulted on create, Filter, Group, Nillable, Sort, Update
- **Description**: The status of the claim. Possible values are: The default value is Draft.

- Approved
- Draft
- Manual Review Needed
- Rejected
- Requested Information
- Submitted
- Under Review

### Summary

- **Type**: textarea
- **Properties**: Create, Nillable, Update
- **Description**: The description of the claim.

### TotalAdjustedAmount

- **Type**: currency
- **Properties**: Filter, Nillable, Sort
- **Description**: The claim amount that was approved. This field is a calculated field.

### TotalClaimedAmount

- **Type**: currency
- **Properties**: Filter, Nillable, Sort
- **Description**: The total amount being claimed. This field is a calculated field.

### UsageType

- **Type**: picklist
- **Properties**: Create, Filter, Group, Nillable, Restricted picklist, Sort, Update
- **Description**: The usage type of the Claims record. Possible values are:

- Automotive
