# AssetLocation

Represents a sighting or location update that records where an asset was last seen or detected. This object is available in API version 68.0 and later.

create(), delete(), describeLayout(), describeSObjects(), getDeleted(), getUpdated(), query(), retrieve(), search(), undelete(), update(), upsert()

## Fields

### Address

- **Type**: address
- **Properties**: Create, Nillable, Update
- **Description**: The street address where the asset was last seen or detected.

### AssetId

- **Type**: reference
- **Properties**: Create, Filter, Group, Sort, Update
- **Description**: The asset being tracked for a specific sighting or location update. This field is a relationship field.
- **Relationship Name**: Asset
- **Relationship Type**: Lookup
- **Refers To**: Asset

### CapturedLicensePlateNumber

- **Type**: string
- **Properties**: Create, Filter, Group, Nillable, Sort, Update
- **Description**: The license plate number captured during the sighting, used to confirm the asset's identity.

### Comments

- **Type**: textarea
- **Properties**: Create, Nillable, Update
- **Description**: Additional notes or observations recorded for the sighting, such as the asset's surroundings and condition.

### ConfidenceScore

- **Type**: int
- **Properties**: Create, Filter, Group, Nillable, Sort, Update
- **Description**: A score from 1 to 100 indicating the system's confidence that the sighted asset matches the target asset.

### GeoLocation

- **Type**: location
- **Properties**: Create, Filter, Nillable, Sort, Update
- **Description**: The latitude and longitude coordinates captured for the asset at the time of the sighting.

### LocationCategory

- **Type**: picklist
- **Properties**: Create, Filter, Group, Nillable, Sort, Update
- **Description**: The category of the location where the asset is located, such as a storage yard or a dealership. Possible values are:

- Residence
- Workplace
- Storage Yard
- Auction Yard
- Dealership
- Impound Lot
- Public Street
- Unknown

### LocationId

- **Type**: reference
- **Properties**: Create, Filter, Group, Nillable, Sort, Update
- **Description**: The location of the asset, such as a warehouse. This field is a relationship field.
- **Relationship Name**: Location
- **Relationship Type**: Lookup
- **Refers To**: Location

### LocationStatus

- **Type**: picklist
- **Properties**: Create, Filter, Group, Nillable, Sort, Update
- **Description**: The status of the location associated with the asset. Possible values are: Current, Historical, or Pending Verification.

### Name

- **Type**: string
- **Properties**: Autonumber, Defaulted on create, Filter, idLookup, Sort
- **Description**: An auto-generated unique identifier used to track a specific sighting or location update for the asset.

### RepossessionItemId

- **Type**: reference
- **Properties**: Create, Filter, Group, Nillable, Sort, Update
- **Description**: The repossession item associated with the asset location tracking record. This field is a relationship field.
- **Relationship Name**: RepossessionItem
- **Relationship Type**: Lookup
- **Refers To**: RepossessionItem

### Source

- **Description**: The origin of the location data, such as a license plate reader, a field agent, or a GPS ping. Possible values are: LPR (License Plate Reader), Field Sight, or Telematics.

- **Description**: The timestamp at which the sighting was recorded or the asset's location was updated.
