# MCETransformationsSettings

Controls Flow Builder's integration with Marketing Cloud Engagement (MCE), including sending contacts to MCE emails and journeys. This type extends the Metadata metadata type and inherits its fullName field.

In the package manifest, all organization settings metadata types are accessed using the Settings name. See [Settings](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.api_meta.meta/api_meta/meta_settings.htm "Represents the organization settings related to a feature. For example, your password policies, session settings and network access controls are all available in the SecuritySettings component type.") for details.

## File Suffix and Directory Location

MCETransformationsSettings values are stored in the MCETransformations.settings file in the settings folder. The .settings files are different from other named components because there's only one settings file for each settings component.

## Version

MCETransformationsSettings is available in API version 68.0 and later.

## Fields

| Field Name | Field Type | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| enableMceTransformations | boolean | Enables Flow Builder access to Marketing Cloud Engagement (MCE) sending capabilities for the org. This field must be enabled before the other MCETransformationsSettings fields take effect. |
| enableMcetContactKeyOverride | boolean | Allows flows to override the ContactKey field when sending a contact to a Marketing Cloud Journey via the Send to Journey action. Requires enableMceTransformations to be enabled. |
| enableMcetSendToEmail | boolean | Allows flows to send contacts to Marketing Cloud Emails via the Send to MCE Email action. Requires enableMceTransformations to be enabled. |
| enableMcetTriggerJourney | boolean | Allows flows to send contacts to Marketing Cloud Journeys via the Send to Journey action. Requires enableMceTransformations to be enabled. |

## Declarative Metadata Sample Definition

The following is an example of the MCETransformations.settings file:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<MCETransformationsSettings xmlns="http://soap.sforce.com/2006/04/metadata">
	<enableMceTransformations\>true</enableMceTransformations\>
	<enableMcetContactKeyOverride\>true</enableMcetContactKeyOverride\>
	<enableMcetSendToEmail\>true</enableMcetSendToEmail\>
	<enableMcetTriggerJourney\>true</enableMcetTriggerJourney\>
</MCETransformationsSettings\>

## Example Package Manifest

The following is an example package manifest used to deploy or retrieve the MCETransformations settings metadata:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<Package xmlns="http://soap.sforce.com/2006/04/metadata">
	<types\>
		<members\>MCETransformations</members\>
		<name\>Settings</name\>
	</types\>
	<version\>68.0</version\>
</Package\>

## Wildcard Support in the Manifest File

The wildcard character \* (asterisk) in the package.xml manifest file doesn’t apply to metadata types for feature settings. The wildcard applies only when retrieving all settings, not for an individual setting. For details, see [Settings](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.264.0.api_meta.meta/api_meta/meta_settings.htm). For information about using the manifest file, see [Deploying and Retrieving Metadata with the Zip File](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.264.0.api_meta.meta/api_meta/file_based_zip_file.htm).
