# InsPlcyLimitConsumptionRule

Represents configuration for how policy limit consumption rule applies to an insurance policy product, including consumption mode and product binding.

## Parent Type

This type extends the [Metadata](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.264.0.api_meta.meta/api_meta/metadata.htm "HTML (New Window)") metadata type and inherits its fullName field.

## File Suffix and Directory Location

InsPlcyLimitConsumptionRule components have the suffix .insPlcyLimitConsumptionRule and are stored in the InsPlcyLimitConsumptionRules folder.

## Version

InsPlcyLimitConsumptionRule components are available in API version 67.0 and later.

Required. Specifies how the nested limits in the insurance policy are consumed when a claim is paid out. Valid value is:

Indicates whether the policy limit consumption configuration is enabled (true) or not (false).

The default value is false.
