# Change or Open Your Default Org

Agentforce Vibes IDE runs commands against the org that you're logged into. This org is set as your default org for development. If you use a Dev Hub, your default org is typically a scratch org. In the org development model, it’s usually a sandbox, a Developer Edition (DE) org, or a Trailhead Playground.

To connect to an org:

1. Open the Command Palette and run **SFDX: Authorize an Org** or **SFDX: Create a Default Scratch Org**.
2. Select an org type and enter an alias name.
3. Copy or note the verification code that is shown.

4. Login to your org from the login page that opens.
5. To authorize the connection, enter the verification code and click **Allow**. If the code matches, the authentication succeeds.

The verification status is shown in your Agentforce Vibes IDE, and the name of the connected org is shown on the taskbar.

To set or change the org that you’re developing against, in the Agentforce Vibes IDE status bar, click the org’s name or the plug icon ![default org icon](https://developer.salesforce.com/media/codebuilder/icon_default_org1.png). Then, select a different org, or select **SFDX: Set a Default Org** to authorize a new org.

To open your default org so that you can test your changes or use declarative tools, click the open org icon ![open org icon](https://developer.salesforce.com/media/codebuilder/icon_open_org1.png) in the status bar. Or, open the Command Palette and run **SFDX: Open Default Org**.

To log out of the default org run **SDFX: Log Out from Default Org**.
