# setParam()

Sets a parameter for an event. This method doesn’t modify an event that has already been fired.

## Signature

`setParam(String key, Object value)`

## Parameters

**_key_:** Type: `String`. The name of the parameter.

**_value_:** Type: `Object`. The value of the parameter.
