# set()

Sets a value on the specified global value provider using property syntax.

## Signature

`set (String key, Object value)`

## Parameters

**_key_:** Type: `String`. The data key to change on the global value provider.

**_value_:** Type: `Object`. The value to set for the key. If the global value provider doesn’t implement `set()`, this method throws an exception.
