# isPeriodTimeView()

Deprecated. Do not use. Checks if a datetime pattern string uses a 24-hour or 12-hour time view.

## Signature

`isPeriodTimeView(string pattern)`

## Parameters

**_pattern_:** Type: `string`. A datetime pattern.

## Returns

**Type: `boolean`** Returns `true` if the pattern uses a 12-hour period time view.
