# Get Layouts and Descriptions for a Specified Object

Retrieves lists of layouts and their descriptions for a single object.

## Syntax

**URI:** `/services/data/vXX.X/sobjects/sObject/describe/layouts/`

**Formats:** JSON, XML

**HTTP Method:** GET

**Authentication:** `Authorization: Bearer token`

**Parameters:** None required
