# Handlebars Helper Function: buildRowSetFromString

Creates a rowset by splitting a string at a specified delimiter.

## Availability

This helper is available in the Winter ’27 release of Marketing Cloud Next.

## Syntax

```handlebars
{{buildRowSetFromString sourceData delimiter}}
```

## Parameters

| Parameter    | Type   | Description                                                    |
| ------------ | ------ | -------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `sourceData` | String | Required. The string to split into rows. |
| `delimiter`  | String | Required. The delimiter that separates values in `sourceData`. |

## Return Value

The function returns a rowset with one unnamed column. Each value separated by `delimiter` is a row in the result.

## Usage Example

This example creates a rowset from a pipe-delimited string and renders each value.

```handlebars
{{#each (buildRowSetFromString "123|456|789" "|")}}
  {{this}}
{{/each}}
```

The example produces this output:

```
123
456
789
```
