# GetRequestHeader

Retrieves the value of an HTTP request header.

## Syntax

GetRequestHeader(1)

## Function Properties

| Ordinal | Type   | Description                              |
| ------- | ------ | ---------------------------------------- |
| `1`     | String | The name of the HTTP header to retrieve. |

## Example

To use this function, pass it the name of the HTTP header that you want to retrieve.

```js
<script runat="server">
  var requestData = Platform.Request.GetRequestHeader('Accept-Language');
  Platform.Response.Write(requestData);
</script>
```

The response contains the value of the specified header.

```
en-US,en;q=0.9
```
