# Retrieve Subscribers by Subscriber Key

Use the Retrieve method to view information about a specific subscriber. The data that's returned can contain the status of the subscriber, along with other information that can help you better target your sends.

This sample SOAP request shows how to retrieve information about a subscriber by specifying their subscriber key.
