# Retrieve Bounce Event Details

Retrieve the details of an email bounce event to understand why an email didn’t reach its target subscriber.

By minimizing the number of bounces for emails you send, you can improve your sender reputation. Maintaining a good reputation can help to reduce deliverability issues.

This sample SOAP envelope retrieves bounce events that occurred within a specific date range.
