# GUID()

Generates a 128-bit hexadecimal Globally Unique Identifier (GUID).

## Syntax

```
GUID()
```

The `GUID()` function doesn’t accept any parameters.

## Usage

This example generates a GUID.

```
%%=v(GUID())=%%
```

The output of this function is a unique identifier, such as `a0f71563-b064-4b02-a21a-571dadadafb1`.
