# Access to Supported JavaScript API Framework Methods

When developing Aura components, you can only access published, [supported JavaScript API framework methods](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.lightning.meta/lightning/ref_jsapi_intro.htm). Previously, unsupported methods were accessible, which exposed your code to the risk of breaking when unsupported methods were changed or removed.
