# Execute the Administration Tasks

Before using the optimized cart-based APIs, run these administrations tasks in your org.

Navigate to Vlocity CMT Administration and run these jobs.

1. From the App Launcher, find and select **Vlocity CMT Administration**.
2. Maintenance job: [Field Maps Maintenance](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.comms_field_maps_maintenance.htm&language=en_US&type=5). This job populates the mappings and pricing plan meta data.
3. EPC job: Generate EPC Compile data. This job initializes the cache data.
Starting in Winter '24, for Standard Cart APIs, you can select price lists and compile data for products specific to those price lists.
    - On the EPC Jobs page, click **Start** next to GENERATE COMPILE DATA. From the Price List dropdown list, select the price lists, and then click **Apply**.

**NOTE:** From Winter'25 you can enable incremental caching. See [Enable incremental caching](#enable-incremental-caching).<br>
You need to execute the following step only after completing the above step 3 at least once.

To enable incremental caching, perform these steps.

1. From Setup, enter `Custom Settings` in the Quick Find box, select **Custom Settings**, then select **Trigger Setup**.
2. Click **Manage**. Click **New**.
3. Select `StandardIncrementalCache`. Ensure that **Trigger On** checkbox is selected.

## Enable Incremental Caching

To leverage incremental caching, you need to activate a new trigger named `StandardIncrementalCache`. This trigger has following functionality.

- Change Data Capture: Enables the capture of changes made to EPC data, providing the foundation for identifying updates during incremental refreshes.
- Job Execution Control: Controls the ability to run the incremental caching jobs themselves.

**important:** Upgrading to Winter'25 does not automatically enable change data capture or job execution. You need to enable the `StandardIncrementalCache` trigger following the steps mentioned above. You can initiate data change capture and subsequently run the incremental caching jobs. This provides granular control over when change data is captured and how the jobs are utilized.
