# Create Products and a Catalog

Before you can use the Populate Cache APIs, product offerings and a sales catalog must exist in your org.

1.  Use the Product Designer to create product offerings. See [Create Offerings in the Product Designer](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.comms_create_offerings_in_the_product_designer.htm&type=5).

2.  Create a sales catalog for the product offerings. See [Create Sales Catalogs](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.comms_create_sales_catalogs.htm&type=5).
