# UnitofMeasure

Standard object representing a unit of measure — such as each, case, pallet, kilogram, or liter — used to quantify products, along with its conversion factor, scale, and rounding behavior relative to a base unit. This object is available in API version 68.0 and later.

## Supported Calls

`create()`, `delete()`, `describeLayout()`, `describeSObjects()`, `getDeleted()`, `getUpdated()`, `query()`, `retrieve()`, `search()`, `undelete()`, `update()`, `upsert()`

## Special Access Rules

No additional setup or permissions beyond standard object- and field-level security are required.

## Fields

### ConversionFactor

**Type:** double

**Properties:** Create, Filter, Nillable, Sort, Update

**Description:** The multiplier used to convert a quantity in this unit of measure to the base unit of measure.

### CurrencyIsoCode

**Type:** picklist

**Properties:** Create, Defaulted on create, Filter, Group, Nillable, Restricted picklist, Sort, Update

**Description:** The ISO code for the currency of the record. Possible values are: AED (UAE Dirham), USD (U.S. Dollar), and every other active currency ISO code configured for the org. The default value is USD.

**Properties:** Create, Filter, Group, Nillable, Sort, Update

**Description:** A text description of the unit of measure.

### LastReferencedDate

**Type:** dateTime

**Properties:** Filter, Nillable, Sort

**Description:** The timestamp when this record was last referenced (viewed or otherwise touched in a list, related list, and so on).

### LastViewedDate

**Type:** dateTime

**Properties:** Filter, Nillable, Sort

**Description:** The timestamp when this record was last viewed by a user.

### Name

**Type:** string

**Properties:** Create, Filter, Group, idLookup, Sort, Update

**Description:** The name of the unit of measure.

### OwnerId

**Type:** reference

**Properties:** Create, Defaulted on create, Filter, Group, Sort, Update

**Description:** The User or Group that owns this record. This field is a polymorphic relationship field.

**Relationship Name:** Owner

**Refers To:** Group, User

### RoundingMethod

**Type:** picklist

**Properties:** Create, Filter, Group, Nillable, Restricted picklist, Sort, Update

**Description:** The rounding method applied when converting quantities involving this unit of measure. Possible values are Down, Nearest, and Up.

### Scale

**Type:** int

**Properties:** Create, Filter, Group, Nillable, Sort, Update

**Description:** The number of decimal places supported for quantities expressed in this unit of measure.

### Type

**Type:** picklist

**Properties:** Create, Filter, Group, Sort, Update

**Description:** Type of measurement — for example, period, weight, or distance.

### UnitCode

**Type:** string

**Properties:** Create, Filter, Group, Sort, Update

**Description:** Code for the unit of measure.
