# MuleSoft Direct Integrations

MuleSoft Direct Integrations are pre-built integration applications built using the TM Forum standards. These are outbound APIs that enable specific Communications Cloud processes to interact with external systems.  
To access the MuleSoft Direct Integrations, purchase a MuleSoft instance. The pre-built integrations are deployed in your MuleSoft instance to enable extensibility. If you already have a MuleSoft instance, you can leverage it to connect to Salesforce.
