# Schema Structure

Send your query via a POST HTTP request to the [`graphql` endpoint](/docs/platform/graphql/references/graphql?meta=Send%2BQuery):

```
https://{MyDomainName}.my.salesforce.com/services/data/v{version}/graphql
```

Replace these values:

- `MyDomainName`: A custom subdomain specific to a Salesforce org. For example, `companyname` creates the URL `https://companyname.my.salesforce.com`.
- `version`: A Salesforce API version in the format XX.X. For example, 57.0.

Within the Salesforce GraphQL schema, there are [a number of conventions](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/platform/graphql/guide/schema-conventions.md) that the types adopt to ensure the schema performs as expected for your record data. For example, while most GraphQL servers don't include a version in the url to the GraphQL endpoint, the Salesforce GraphQL schema does.
