# Filter Results

Filter objects are used to filter the result set of records. All sObjects in the schema have a corresponding `Filter` type created, which combines the object API name with the `_Filter` suffix. For example, `Account` has a corresponding `Account_Filter` type created.

```
Account(
  first: Int
  after: String
  scope: ACCOUNT_SCOPE
  orderBy: Account_OrderBy
  where: Account_Filter
): AccountConnection # the "Account" field returns the "AccountConnection" type
```

Filter your results using a combination of [field operators](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/platform/graphql/guide/filter-fields.md), [boolean operators](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/platform/graphql/guide/filter-boolean.md), and more. For example, you can filter through a [parent relationship](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/platform/graphql/guide/filter-parent.md) or use [a semi-join or anti-join](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/platform/graphql/guide/filter-joins.md).
