# Get Started with Dataloader from MuleSoft

Dataloader from MuleSoft is a cloud-based app that runs in your browser with no installation required. Use it to import, export, and delete Salesforce data through step-by-step task workflows that store your settings for reuse.

Dataloader from MuleSoft builds everything you do around a **task**. A task stores your connection, object selection, field mappings, and options so you can run the same operation repeatedly without repeating the setup. You can run a task immediately, schedule it to run automatically, or copy it as a template for similar operations.

## Before You Begin

You need a Salesforce account. Dataloader from MuleSoft uses your Salesforce credentials to connect. No separate registration is required. Open the app at [dataloader.io](https://dataloader.io).

## Start Your First Task

Choose the operation you want to perform:

- **Import**: Load records from a CSV file into Salesforce. See [Importing Data into Salesforce](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/platform/dataloader/guide/import-data.md).
