# `TO_BASE64`

**Applies to:** ✅ Data 360 SQL ✅ Tableau Hyper API

Converts data to its equivalent base64 representation.

## Syntax

```sql
to_base64(<data>)
```

## Arguments

### Required

- `<data>`: The data to encode (int, bigint, or bytea).

## Returns

Returns a text value containing the base64-encoded representation of the data.

## Examples

### Convert to Base64

Encode an integer to base64.

```sql
SELECT to_base64(2147483647) AS result;
```

Returns `'f////w=='`.
