# `CONCAT`

**Applies to:** ✅ Data 360 SQL ✅ Tableau Hyper API

Concatenates the text representations of all arguments, ignoring NULL values.

## Syntax

```sql
concat(<value1> [, value2 [, ...]])
```

## Arguments

### Required

- `<value1>`: The first value to concatenate.

### Optional

- `value2, ...`: Additional values to concatenate.

## Returns

Returns a text value containing all non-NULL arguments concatenated together.

## Considerations

- Unlike the `||` operator, the function ignores NULL arguments.
- Converts all arguments to their text representation.

## Examples

### Concatenate with NULLs

Combine values including NULL.

```sql
SELECT concat('abcde', 2, NULL, 22) AS result;
```

Returns `'abcde222'`. Ignores the NULL.
